Alright, I'll admit it: I was a Bernie fan. Who doesn't want free college?
Anyway, here's what Spongebob (and Patrick) have to say about Hillary Clinton winning the Democratic nomination, and Donald Trump winning the Republican nomination.
Spongebob: "What do you usually do when I'm gone?"
Patrick: "Wait for you to come back."
For all those Bernie fans, we're just going to have to wait for Grandpa to come back, or if he's not feeling up to it, someone similar. It's only four years, right?
Patrick: "Well it may be stupid, but it's also dumb."
I think that Donald Trump's speech writers watch Spongebob for inspiration. This kind of feels like something Donald Trump has said before.
Also featured under Donald Trump's stupidity:
“Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like a dog and will do it again – just watch. He can do much better!”
“You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media writes as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass.”
“If I were running ‘The View’, I’d fire Rosie O’Donnell. I mean, I’d look at her right in that fat, ugly face of hers, I’d say ‘Rosie, you’re fired.’”
“All of the women on The Apprentice flirted with me – consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.”
“The beauty of me is that I’m very rich.”
“It’s freezing and snowing in New York – we need global warming!”
These are only, unfortunately, a few of his stupid comments. I don't think I'm being too far-fetched by saying he could have said any of the same stupid things that Patrick has said over the years.
Spongebob: "Aw, cheer up, Squid! It could be worse!"
Patrick: "Yeah. You could be bald with a big nose."
Perhaps Patrick should respond with: "Yeah. You could be bald with a big mouth." Spongebob is right: it could be worse. Let's just be glad that Hillary Clinton isn't a female Donald Trump. (Is that possible?)
Spongebob: "Well it's no secret that the best thing about a secret is secretly telling someone your secret, thereby adding another secret to their secret collection of secrets, secretly."
Politicians have secrets. It's a thing. Get over it. We're stuck with the candidates that we have and there's nothing we can do about it. Attempting to write-in a candidate is, as Patrick says, stupid, but also dumb, because it will just take away votes from Hillary.
And we don't want that.
Patrick: "Dumb people are always blissfully unaware of how dumb they really are...(drools)."
I'm starting to feel like Patrick has been leaving us millennials secret messages about Donald Trump this whole time.
He's right: dumb people can be blissfully unaware. Although, I'm almost 90 percent sure Donald Trump may actually be aware of his own stupidity. Nonetheless, I'm willing to give the Republicans who voted for him the benefit of the doubt and say that they are all blissfully unaware. (Boy, I wish that were true).
Spongebob: "I'm ready!"
Same, Spongebob. Same. I'm ready for this election season to be over. I'm ready for Donald Trump to leave. And I'm definitely ready for the next four years to whiz by.
Who knew Spongebob had so much to say about this election season?
