Football season is BACK!

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy. Fall is already the best time of year, and then the world gives us football, too?

"Yes, I'm a girl. Yes, I watch football. Yes, I yell and scream at the TV like the coaches and players can hear me." - Pinterest

Nowadays, I don't think it's an uncommon thing for girls to love football, but there are 38 things girls who love football will, without a doubt, understand.

Here we go...

1. "But like, you're a girl. There's no way you understand what's going on."

Honestly, I probably understand it better than you do.

2. In high school, Friday night football games were the highlight of your week.

You were probably a very active, and loud, part of your student section.

3. In the fall and winter, you dedicate your weekends to football games.

Saturdays = College Football.

Sundays = NFL.

4. You scream. A LOT.

You just can't help it.

5. You've, at least once, thought about what it would be like to play.

And then you realize you would literally get crushed on the first play and decide to stick to watching it from the comfort of your home.

6. You've more than likely attended professional games.

Walking into the stadiums gives you chill bumps.

7. It's one way you and your dad bond.

And it makes you very happy.

8. Dating a boy who doesn't like football isn't an option.

9. Dating a boy who can't handle your excitement on game days isn't an option.

10. Dating a boy who gets intimidated by how much you know about football isn't an option.

11. Shockingly, you watch the draft or keep tabs on your team throughout the offseason.

People think you're nerdy.

12. "Wait, so you know what WR, QB, CB, S, RB, OL, DL, and K mean??"

You betcha.

13. You have your favorite commentators.

And Troy Aikman isn't one of them.

14. You were very happy when a woman referee was given a chance.

You go, girl.

15. You frequently complain about the ugliness of women's sports t-shirts.

I mean, come on. SO UGLY.

16. Deep down, you pray you have a son who plays football.

You'll be closing your eyes the entire time, but will be a very proud mom.

17. When you miss a game, your whole day feels off.

And people think you're crazy.

18. As a kid, you always received gifts relating to your favorite team.

Like jackets, key chains, etc.

19. And you still do.

And you still love it just as much.

20. You dream of watching football with your own little family someday.

It's one of your biggest dreams.

21. And throwing a badass SuperBowl Party.

While wearing a football-themed apron, of course.

22. Sometimes, you feel like you could be a better coach than most of the ones out there.

Except for Bill Bellicheck. The man's a football genius.

23. When you're team loses, talking isn't an option.

You're just too upset.

24. During games, cussing occurs often.

And because you don't seem very lady like, you must apologize.

25. "So, are you just watching because the boys are wearing tight pants?"

Funny joke.

26. You have a mean spiral.

And it shocks people.

27. You probably take games too seriously sometimes.

Like way too seriously.

28. You may or may not have dressed up as a football player for Halloween.

Three years in a row.

(Maybe this was just me).

29. You absolutely obsess over football-themed signs and decor.

TJ Maxx and Target are some of your favorite stores during this time of year.

30. "Wanna go out tonight?"

"No it's okay, the game's coming on."

"Wow, you're weird."

31. *asked by a fellow woman* "So you're telling me you actually enjoy watching sweaty men toss a football around for four hours??"

It's SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT.

32. Jesse James Decker and Eric Decker are your football family goals.

Holy crap.

33. You were raised in a household obsessed with football.

EVERYONE.

34. Your mom loves football just as much as you do.

You're both really good at yelling at the TV together.

35.Your idea of a perfect date is going to a football game/watching a football game.

Yes, please.

36. Honestly, your idea of a perfect day would be going to a football game/watching a football game.

But really.

37. You know the NFL countdown jingle by heart.

It's your favorite jam.

38. You're a much happier person during football season.

A much happier person.

So, to all of my football lovin' gals out there, you rock!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
