Gilmore Girls: Your Guide to the Revival

With the Gilmore Girls revival only a month away, fans are on the edge of their seat in anticipation. And then there are some fans who haven’t watched in so long that they’re wondering, where did we even leave off? What have I forgotten? And I’m sure every fan is wondering what we should be expecting from the revival. Well, I’m here to explore these questions with you. There will be some small spoilers in this article about the revival, so please read at your own discretion.

Years ago in the Gilmore Girls series finale, we were left in Stars Hollow, saying goodbye to Rory who was about to leave for her first real reporting job. In this episode, she is torn up from her break up with Logan -Rory’s final beau of the series, the rich blonde that pulls crazy stunts all the time- and Lorelai is convinced she blew her chances with Luke. However the latter proves untrue, and we find Luke and Lorelai back together again by the end of the episode. It’s full of reminiscing and heartfelt conversations. If you only watch one episode before the revival, it should definitely be this one.

Now, as for what to expect from the revival. We have been lucky enough to be graced with a cast that was more than happy to come back for this reunion. Most of our favorite characters are back for the revival, including Sookie St. James (Melissa McCarthy), Luke Danes (Scott Patterson) and everyone’s favorite fussy frenchman, Michel Gerard (Yanic Truesdale). Even characters that we haven’t seen in a few seasons will be featured, such as Jess and Dean! That’s right, Stars Hollow’s bad boy, Jess, played by Milo Ventimiglia and Rory’s first love, Dean (Jared Padalecki) are back as well! We can only assume that some wonderfully awkward scenes will come out of this, and I couldn’t be more excited.

From the trailers that have been released about the revival, we can assume a number of things. First, Richard Gilmore (Rory’s grandfather, Lorelai’s father) has passed away and Emily (Lorelai’s mother) is trying to figure out what her life is without him. Also, it seems that Rory is jobless and a little lost in life. Hopefully we’ll hear about how she got to this point after leaving Stars Hollow to be a reporter. And it seems that Lorelai and Luke are living together (FINALLY) and are happy.

To get the full effect of the revival, I absolutely recommend re-watching the series, or at least all your favorite episodes, beforehand. If you’ve (somehow) forgotten how much fun this show is, it’s time to remember! The revival will be released on Netflix on November 25th, giving you just enough time to re-watch the best of Gilmore Girls!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
