The Five Senses
What do you do when you're dating someone who has lots of interests? Or, when your budget is small but you want to give your partner a variety of things? Get them five different gifts, each gift relating to one of the five senses.
Everyone knows what kind of smells they like, what kind of fabrics they find cozy, and what type of music they want to hear. By getting your partner five small presents that appeal to each sense, you are able to explore a wide variety of gifts, and make sure to get something you know they will love. Some examples are:
Touch: a fuzzy blanket or soft flannel
Taste: hot chocolate, a home cooked meal, or a gift card to their favorite restaurant
Smell: a candle or incense
Sight: a painting, makeup, or a book
Sound: a CD or concert tickets
A Scrapbook
If the two of you have been together for a while, you've probably stocked up a lot of pictures of the two of you. Turning these memories into a scrapbook will be a sweet, sentimental gift for your significant other.
If you think making a scrapbook of the two of you is cheesy, make one with special events from their life. Do they play sports? Are they in theatre? Get some pictures from their time doing something they love and compile them in one place, so they have something to look at when they're feeling nostalgic.
A Succulent
Whether your significant other is a plant lover or not, it is always nice to have some greenery in the house. Succulents are extremely easy to take care of and require little maintenance. And, any time your partner sees it, they will be sure to think of you.
A Spa Day
Everyone can use a day to unwind. Gather a basket and stick in some face masks, a bath bomb, some chocolate, and other goodies to share with your partner. The best part about this gift is that you can do these activities together.
Spend quality time together by doing a face mask while watching your favorite movie in bed, or drink some wine in the tub while a bath bomb fizzles around you.
A Mini Vacation
Find somewhere you haven't been to before and spend the day together. This place doesn't have to be far; you could drive for an hour or stay in your hometown, just let the adventure lead you there.
Find nice, local coffee shops or small business and spend time wandering around, or go on a hike and take a break from civilization for a day. Either way, focus on each other and creating memories together.
