Hey y'all!

So like the intro states, I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself to all you lovely rays of sunshine out there. My name is Alex and I am so excited to be writing for Odyssey.

I am from a small town in Texas called Wichita Falls, and I am a Public Relations major here at Texas Tech University, and I'm absolutely in love with the West Texas way of living! I am a second-generation Red Raider so I have been repping the scarlet and black long before my journey to Tech.

I am a constant busy body (I can't sit still), and I love being involved. I am an active member in Greek life, student government, and I have a part-time job! I am addicted to anything chocolate, I'm obsessed with my dog, Macy (Macy & I ft. above), I LOVE the artist Lorde, if I could drink queso I would, and I watch way too much Netflix (The Office and Parks and Rec are my go to). I am the oldest in my family followed by my little sister and brother. I was raised by two loving parents who make sure I don't have mental breakdowns to this day.

Now you may be wondering, "Alex you have a lot going on, why did you join The Odyssey?" Well, it's simple my friends: I love to write, create, meet new people, and encourage everyone to share their ideas. I wanted to create a voice for myself to be able to impact society in a positive way. In addition to that, I was the (and still am) the awkward goofy kid who loved getting to read and here other ideas and opinions, and by doing that, I was inspired to create.

So as I sit on my bed eating mac and cheese trying to forget its finals week, I wanted to just say hey to all you lovely people out there! So, "this is real, this is ME" -Camp Rock
