The end of summer is bittersweet for college students. While it means that a new and exciting school year is just around the corner, it also means that there is a lot of work that needs to be done before you can load up the car and head back to school.
When August comes around, you’re really exited because you are beyond ready to re-enter the college lifestyle after a slow-placed summer in your hometown.
Then you realize that the school year lasts from August to May, and you haven’t saved nearly enough money from your summer job to last you that long.
Despite having a lack of funds, you have the sudden urge to freshen up your look before you grace the campus with your presence.
Don’t forget the new clothes you need to buy…because trends are only around for about five minutes.
You start to realize that, soon, your mom won’t be able to whip you up a sandwich whenever you get hungry or do all of your grocery shopping.
You are also reminded of the fact that your class schedule includes an 8 a.m. class, which doesn't exactly jive with your summer sleep schedule #PanicMode.
But these thoughts quickly fade when you think about all the fun you’re going to have during welcome weekend.
And while you may not admit it, you totally have all your going-out outfits planned for your first weekend back.
You can’t wait to reunite with your friends and pick up right where you left off...
...meaning bonding over late-night eating.
Then you remember that you have to pack and load up the car before any of the fun can begin.
Despite the fear of packing, you still tear through Target like there's no tomorrow.
You also remember how oddly satisfying it is to shop for school supplies.
Overall, you just can’t shake the excitement and butterflies because you know another great school year is ahead.
HERE'S TO THE BEST SCHOOL YEAR YET!
