10 All-Too-Real Moments We Have During The Week After Spring Break

Whether you spent your days as a beach bum or didn't leave your bed an entire week, coming back to school can be rough!

10 All-Too-Real Moments We Have During The Week After Spring Break

1. I can't wait to get back to school and see all of my friends!

Whether you went home for break to see family or headed straight to the beach, getting back on campus after being away is always exciting. It's nice to be back in your element.

2. Wait going back to school means going back to class.

Spring break is just enough time for our brains to have turned off. Whether this be from what was consumed in mass amounts at the beach or from not leaving your bed for the entire week, everyone is feeling the post break slump.

3. Sitting in class and reminiscing on where you were or what you were doing this time last week.

Everyone has done it...spacing out during an 8 a.m. lecture thinking about how "lit" this past week was and how you would do just about anything to be back there again.

4. The sigh of relief when you remember Easter Break is only a few weeks away.

Spring Semester is a beautiful thing. Its filled with breaks! Spring Break is the half way point in the semester and even then we still get another break! It's quite glorious!

5. Then you remember what happens after Easter break….. FINALS.

But wait weren't mid-terms like last week??? Bring on the stress, you've been on break, you can handle it!

6. So you accept your fate and make your way to the library to do all the homework and projects you said you would get ahead on over break.

We all do it, we say we are going to be so productive over break. We are going to get all our homework done, get ahead on reading, and start studying for any upcoming tests....but it never happens. So off to the library, its time to play catch up!

7. Remembering that Formal season is just around the corner.

For Greeks and Independents alike, post spring break means its about time to secure a date for Formal. What even is a formal date? And do I really have to invite one? Can I say I am bringing a date just for the extra food? (just leave them at home, duh). Oh and don't forget about finding something to wear!!!

8. It may take a bit of time to remember how to properly take the “L" but you get back into the swing of things!

A week off is just enough time to forget that you in fact are not superman. College is full of mistakes and setbacks, you just have to learn from them. Work hard and chose what "L"s you're going to take carefully, there isn't much time in the semester to bounce back!

9. The feeling of sleep deprivation comes back into full effect.

Spring Break for most people means sleeping half way through the day. Catching up on much-needed sleep over break is crucial. Coming back to school means back to late nights and the occasional all-nighter... It's a reality check, to say the least.

10. Accepting that Spring Break is a thing of the past...

There comes a time in every students semester were they must stop reminiscing on the glory days of Spring Break past and look towards the future. It's time to take on the rest of the semester with all you’ve got…..or start a new Netflix series because you did so much binge watching over break, either works!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
