How will the U.S. prevail over ISIS?

ISIS vs. U.S.A.: What's Next?

With ISIS attacking countries across the globe, it is alarming to the U.S. government. ISIS has threatened to attack some of our major cities, including Atlanta, Georgia, and they have unfortunately attacked San Bernardino, California. The attacks on Paris, death threats towards other European countries, it is scary to wonder what is next for this horrific terroristic group.

ISIS and/or ISIL, is the Islamic State of Syria and the Levant, a terrorist group that has been in an effort to taking over the United States of America and the entire world.

Luckily, our government has plans for how to handle ISIS before they severely attack the U.S. On December 14, President Obama informed the United States that ISIS will not prevail any longer over innocent citizens.

To view some of his speech, click the image below.

As President Obama mentioned, we are hitting ISIS "harder than ever." Although we are mainly focusing on ISIS not hitting the U.S. with their attacks next, we are also focused on helping to protect other countries from the attacks as well.

If ISIS is not taken over, then we will be taken over by ISIS. If that happens, that could jeopardize our country. That could include death of more innocent citizens, and our government getting out of control. If the U.S. does not get involved, we will continue being their first target to their rampages.

Obama later mentioned that November was the peak of ISIS attacks, meaning that more attacks could come if we do not take action sooner than later.

After watching the Republican Debates, the candidates have been sure to mention their tactics on how to handle ISIS and how to assure that this won't happen again. Some candidates have mentioned looking into the internet history and text messages of what may be suspicious of some possible visitors to the U.S. so they can delete the problem before it arises. Others have said their should be a "terrorist list" that has a list of people who are banned from purchasing a gun in the United States. Of course we also can not forget Donald Trump's comments on temporarily not allowing Muslims to enter the United States.

Although some of these tactics may be extreme to some, it shows that the U.S. is not going to allow ISIS to take over the world. There are plans that are being taken in place by the Obama Administration. The Transportation Security Agency has been cracking down on Airport security to assure that nothing comes into the U.S. via airplanes and other modes of transportation.

What else can there be done currently by the U.S. government to take action against ISIS? Unfortunately, innocent Americans were killed in San Bernardino due to ISIS attacks, and it was something that we could not prevent ahead of time. With their form of communication being in their native language, something most Americans do not understand, it became difficult to effectively prevent these attacks.

More americans need to study these native languages such as Arabic, and learn what exactly are their goals. Even though they may be taking the lives of innocent citizens, the goal is to see why they feel it necessary to do so. This is planned in advance by ISIS, meaning there are goals behind their attacks. Have they truly accomplished them? The world may never know.

So without further or do, get ready ISIS, because the U.S. is coming.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
