How I Met Your Mother Edition

This week I crashed and burned with my no technology streak, and got back into one of my all-time favorite shows... "How I Met your Mother." Though I have seen it all before, I've forgotten most of the episodes, including the ending! So watching it again is just as good! When you've spent as much time with the gang as much as I have over the past week, you gain a true emotional connection with each of them! Here are the moments that I think exemplify my favorite part of each member of the gang. (PSA: Sorry if I left anyone out that should have been included!)

1. Barney

Meet Barney, the gang's suck-up, rich, womanizer with a soft spot for family. Throughout the series, Barney’s mother tells him a series of lies about who his father is every time he's asked over the years. The very talk of his father truly brings out the child in Barney!

2.Marshall

Meet Marshall.... He's a lawyer and self-proclaimed giant! If you're looking for someone to get in an argument with -- look elsewhere!

3.Ted

The man who got the group together... and possibly relies on them the most, as he bounces from relationship to relationship. Only to get his heart broken time and time again.

4. Lily (and Marshall, again)

Meet the couple who met beginning of freshmen year in college, and never grew apart. They're truly the perfect couple! They called it, “Marshall's semester abroad” when he lived across campus!

5. Ted (again) and Barney (again)

The ultimate version of dumb and dumber! This is the friendship that solved what to do for something more legendary than just high-five worthy!

5. Robin

This Canadian native moved to New York for her broadcasting career. Though it she isn't exactly where she thought she'd be, she still ended up doing alright for herself!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
