For those of us who watch or read Game of Thrones know that if it's good for one thing, it's for those jaw-dropping moments and battles. Last week, I decided it was finally time to catch up on the series and spent a few days in my room marathoning. Episode after episode, season after season, there was hardly ever a dull moment. Game of Thrones is beautifully directed and produced. I've decided to make a list of a few my favorite jaw-dropping moments.
6. Jon Snow's Death
Season 5, Episode 10
As one of the main characters of the show making progress in the war and with the fight against the White Walkers, Jon Snow's death shocking. Men of the Night's Watch betrayed him, ambushed him, and stabbed him to death. I'd always imagine him going down at war or in a fight.
... and Resurrection
Season 6, Episode 2
Little did I know two episodes later he would be resurrected. No one, NO ONE, in Game of Thrones has been brought back to life.... yet.
5. Tyrion's Second Trial by Combat
Season 4, Episode 8
Tyrion's first trial by combat had already been a battle to remember, freeing him from the hands of Catelyn Stark and earning him a loyal body guard. In Season 4 Episode 8, he once again requests for trial by combat and the results aren't what anyone really expected...
4. Brienne of Tarth vs The Hound
Season 4, Episode 10
Damn, she sure showed him who's boss. Never have we ever seen The Hound lose a battle, but i'm glad it's to Brienne of Tarth.
3. Execution of Ned Stark
Season 1, Episode 9
Straight from Season One, Game of Thrones had already been killing off main characters. As I was only a Game of Thrones novice in Season One, the death of one of the most important people of the show had me baffled.
2. The Red Wedding
Season 3, Episode 6
I was rooting for Rob Stark, King of the North, I really was. He had such potential to avenge the death of his father and defeat King Geoffrey. He was too young, his death was too soon.
1. Massacre at Hardhome
Season 5, Episode 8
The dangers of the White Walkers and the impending doom of the people if they passed the Wall had been stressed throughout the entire show. However it isn't until Season 5 Episode 8 that the White Walkers launched a full-fledged attack at the Wilding's camp.
