I thought for this week's article I would just tell you all a little about myself, what I like doing with my free time, and what kind of a person I am! I hope this encourages all of you, and that you get to know me a little better.

In my free time, I love making music, I love writing my own songs, even though most of them are not very good. I also love hanging with friends! I love just chilling in my dorm with my squad and just talking about life! I also like playing sports; I love basketball, ultimate frisbee, and bowling. Holy beans, I love bowling! Sorry for my excitement haha. I also love camping. I have camped in Colorado twice, West Virginia and parts of Wisconsin. It is so relaxing, and if I had it my way, I would love to camp in the mountains for the rest of my life—but that might be a little unrealistic. If you have never been camping in Colorado, do it! Once you see those mountains it is going to be amazing! You will cry. Seriously you are going to sob uncontrollably because they are so beautiful.

As for me and my personality, I am a super happy person; I love smiling at people and making people happy and encouraging them—it is one of my favorite things to do! I also am an internal thinker, I think about a lot of things but get overwhelmed easily because I am not good at outward processing. I also like being there for people, listening to them, not even giving advice, just listening. I also like making corny jokes, but I am really not that funny—I try to be—yet all my friends are hilarious so I live a great life. Sometimes I think my personality is too bubbly for people, which is probably true, but it's who I am, so I can't really change it—haha! I love bringing joy to all parts of my life, and I hope I'm able to bring that to whoever is reading this article! You can do a lot of good by just smiling at people. Having a bubbly personality is something I love to display, and I think God has created me to display that to people as a way of sharing the joy that is His gospel. Being happy, for me, is having the hope that I can help them understand that there is so much to live for!

I have to be honest, though, because I am so happy, I struggle with first impressions because I feel like I'm too happy for people, but most people really appreciate the joy that I have. Even when I am going through something hard, I try to see the positive in things, it brings a whole new perspective on life—try it!

So, that is me in a nutshell! Thanks for reading folks!

Gabriel

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
