Where else can you see dinosaurs, precious jewels, and human organs all in one building? The Museum of Natural History was probably a your favorite as a kid, and it can be a favorite as an adult too. And even better, the museum's admission is donation based. So you pay whatever you want to get in (yes, that means you can give them a dollar if you want)!
2. Visit the Strand Bookstore.
The Strand Bookstore is one of the biggest bookstores in NYC, boasting over 2.5 million books. Since many of the books are used you can buy some cheap discounted copies, or just browse for fun.

Many of the galleries are free, and may even offer free food and beverages too!
