Most people say college is the best years of their lives. Mostly because of the parties and weekends spent getting intoxicated. Like, really? That's the best years of your life? Getting blackout drunk and not remembering anything from the night before? Sounds like a blast. Next time, I'll grab a bottle of Absolut and join you. (Insert sarcasm here). Personally, I think it's a little overrated and I know I'm not missing out on much.
I'd rather focus on the real reason for college, you know, to get a degree. That is why you're there, after all. You may think they are the best years, but they certainly are the most important. I have girls that come into my classes so hungover from the night before and I can't help but wonder how they're even passing their classes.
Just because I'm not your average college girl, doesn't mean I'm boring or not fun. Our priorities are just at different ends of the spectrum. If drinking way too much vodka and a one night stand is actually your idea of a good time, then you do you. I hope one day you take off that slutty dress and grow some dignity. Some popcorn and hours of "Gossip Girl" is a great night well spent to me. No hangover, no time frame missing. Why do you want to look back on those years and not remember most of it?
So if you want to get together and binge watch "Greys Anatomy," I'm your girl. But if you want to go out and get stupid drunk while dancing on every guy in the club, then I'm not so much. I don't mind being the girl whose in bed by nine on a Saturday night. At least my parent's can count on knowing where I'm at, at two in the morning. So next time you're at the next frat party hanging your head over the toilet, I'll be at home in bed watching Netflix. Enjoy your hangover.
