In life, there are good days and there are bad days. Sometimes there are really great days, and sometimes there are really bad days. Add all those days together, and you’ve got a life.
Unfortunately, sometimes you feel like the bad days outweigh the good ones. We as humans tend to dwell on the bad days, when really, we should dwell on the good ones. After all, not every day can be a good one, that’s what makes them stand out in our minds.
I am a person who genuinely loves life. I am simply happy. I’ve found that our happiness does not depend on the circumstances we’re in, but on our dispositions. You can take a terrible situation or day and make it better, simply by altering the way you think about it. Your happiness depends entirely on you. You are completely in control of that.
I genuinely love life because of the little things. I live for the little things that happen in everyday life, things that make our ordinary days just a little bit brighter. I live for beautiful sunsets, “I love you” texts, flowers blooming, cozy blankets, ice cream trips with your best friend, and plenty more. One day you’ll look back on life and realize the little things were actually the big things. Life is full of little blessings.
I genuinely love life because of the memories. I personally adore pictures; my walls are full of them, mostly because I am a very nostalgic person. One of the things I am so grateful for in life is that I have made so many wonderful memories with the people I love. Even on my worst days, I am able to look back on these memories, flipping through the pictures and it makes me feel just a little bit better, for I know there are many more of these memories to be made. The best part about a memory is that in the moment, you may not even realize you’re making them.
I genuinely love life because of the people I am blessed with. I think what really makes life worthwhile are the people. Think about your very best days, the days you always think back to, the days that come to mind and put a smile on your face. Most likely, those days were spent with some people that at one point (or still are) very important to you.
I genuinely love life because of love. After all, hope, faith and love are some great gifts that God gave us, but the greatest of all is love. This includes not only love for others, but love for yourself. I love myself because I live with the comfort that everything happens for a reason, and especially that I was made exactly the way He intended me to be. I’m exactly where I need to be right now, doing exactly what I need to be doing.
I genuinely love life because there really is so much to look forward to. I tend to find myself looking toward the future a lot, and that’s okay. There’s so much life ahead of you, so many great days to be had, so many people to meet. At the same time though, it’s important to be mindful of the past, but be careful not to dwell on it too much. Today is a gift, that’s why they call it the “present”.
