Sometimes people make their friends wherever they go building from childhood friends, though they may stay with you for the rest of your life. As I was growing up, I found myself making friends with people all over where I stayed during vacation to the Jersey shore. I never thought that those same people would actually still be around in my life today.
Many of us probably have already experienced this and it is a really good feeling to make some friends who might stay around for a long time. Those same relationships also build a person’s character meaning they can give you confidence as well as many other particular traits. I noticed this in myself when I talk to the same friends I made all that time ago. This is a great thing that I have discovered and many probably haven’t even realized. People always have said that the people in your life will make you a better person and I believe in that, but what matters is that the people you become closest with the people who we wouldn’t think of as having a substantial impact on our lives. These are our true friends and the ones who will stay with us forever.
You may have that one friend who you call your best friend and they may be your best friend, but for those of you who may have realized that that particular friend has changed you in some way are lucky to have found that person, because they shape every part of you, believe it or not. And you do the same for them. People who you share memories with will build your ability to bond and, over time, these memories will flourish in both of your minds allowing you to think similarly and act similarly. I noticed this in my relationship with my cousin. We went to high school together and still hang around with each other even though we attend different universities. We have many memories from high school and often retell them for a good laugh. We have matured over the years and often see ourselves looking different than we used to or acting differently, but we both have done this in a manner that made us better people and wiser people.
Friendships that last or ones that you share the most memories with are the friendships that everyone should cherish and should keep forever. These friendships will often be the premise of how you have become better people and how you have matured. The friendships that stay in the best and worst of times are the friendships that deserve to be maintained and remembered. They have built your character as well as how you appear to others. Some friends may come and go but the ones that have stayed through every part of your life are the ones that are the greatest and those people deserve to have a friendship.
