While this may only be understood by a small group of people, I really wanted to say it. All my life, I have dedicated so much time towards building relationships with people. These friendships are the reason I am the person I am. While the people that read this may not necessarily know my friends, I hope everyone can take something from this that they understand and can relate to.
To my friends from home,
You are always the people I see any time I’m not at school. There are so many of you that I never have to worry about someone being there for me. You’re always there. There is so much I could thank you for, but I am just so happy that I have been able to grow up with you all. I truly believe that I would not be the person I am today if I hadn’t grown up with such a strong support group. You people mean the world to me, and there’s nothing I would change about it.
To my high school friends,
You people are the freaking best. I know I’m not always there to talk or hang out because you’re younger than me, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love you less. You are the types of people that can pick up where you left off. It doesn’t matter if I was gone for three months at school or we simply haven’t seen each other, I know that any time I see you, we are just as close as we were. I love this about you because it’s always good to know that no matter what, I still have you.
To my college friends,
This summer is really a test. I spent the whole school year living right near you and being with you for crazy amounts of time. I went from that to not seeing you for four months. I try my best to keep in contact, but sometimes it’s hard. I know that you are there, though. And know that there’s nothing I miss more than sitting around a table with you, even if we were always doing homework. Next year won’t be the same, but I’m looking forward to it.
With love,
Your friend
