We became inseparable the moment we met and it was something as silly as someone saying, “you guys look alike”. And those four words started the friendship of a century. We became a package deal from that moment on, everyone knew that where I was, you were there right beside me. We were together so much that people confused us constantly.
I was Taylor and you were Ashley to everyone, even though it was really the opposite. You were there to get me through it all, breakups, finding out my grandma had Alzheimer’s and everything in between. We got each other through the most difficult times, from crazy girls to crazy boys we saw it all.
Looking back at it all, I don’t think we could’ve gotten through it without each other.
The marching band was how we met but the fun we had is what brought us close. That whole first year of band was one of the most memorable from switching flutes in the middle of a run through to eating large pizzas before football games. These are the stories that I still tell to this day, everyone who meets me now has heard all the Taylor Ashley band stories.
But it didn’t just stop at the band, we were inseparable out of band, from Black Friday shopping to Dunkin' Donut trips, we did it all together. By senior year we had so many stories we could’ve filled up a book with them all and still people wouldn’t believe half of them. To this day my computer is still filled with our thousands of pictures that we always had to take everywhere we went.
Even now all these years later we’re still close, you’re still one of my very best friends. No one will ever replace you and our memories. I survived high school with amazing memories because of our friendship. Thank you for being my best friend through it all and sticking by side. I know someday we’ll be telling our kids our stories and telling them not to be like us. But I love you best friend and thank you for all the great memoires.
