Friends are an essential part of life, as people to always support you and experience life with you. They serve as companions to do fun activities with, and a good alternative to therapists. Friends come in all different forms and can be made in most situations you encounter in life.
Here are 4 types of friend categories you come across through life:
1. Family friends
These are typically the children of your parents, built-in friends you are born with. When you guys get together, their whole family hangs out with your whole family.
2. School friends
This category evolves throughout your 12 years of mandatory schooling. As each year goes by you meet people in your classes and develop relationships with them. Usually by your senior year of high school you have a group of friends that you will most likely have for the rest of your life.
3. College friends
These are your friends that you meet when you go away to college. They are your first set of adult friends and usually stick with you through adulthood.
4. Work friends
People you meet because you work together. These are the people you spend all day with, and although you may not see all of them outside of work, they tend to know more about you than some of your closest friends.
