Where do I begin? There's so much I want to tell you. For starters, thank you. Thank you for never giving up on me. Thank you for being there even when I didn't make it easy. Thank you for always telling me the truth, even when you knew it wasn't what I wanted to hear. You always looked out for me and my happiness and for that, I'm extremely grateful. Thank you for being a part of my life and for allowing me to be in yours.
There were many times when I didn't know what to do but somehow, you always had the answers. Many times your advice saved me from making stupid decisions. How many times have I gotten that "I told you so" look? LOL. You always meant it in a loving way, though. No matter what I was going through -- a fight with my parents, a breakup, a bad day, the death of a family member -- you were always there to help and take care of me. You always had my back and I know you still do; and I know you always will.
Somehow, over the past nine years, you've become more than my best friend; you've become my sister. Someone who I look up to and admire. You're stronger than you realize and you've impacted my life more than you realize; you're one of my role models. We fight like sisters, talk like sisters, and love each other like sisters. If someone would've told me that I would meet my lifelong best friend, future matron-of-honor, and future godmother of my children in the ninth grade, I don't think I would've believed them. But, here we are. You mean so much to me and I'm so lucky to have someone like you in my life. I know that one day, our children will share this same type of friendship and we'll be able to share with them all of our memories.
So again, thank you for never giving up on me. Thank you for all the memories we've shared and for the great times we'll share in the future. Thank you for being my best friend and my sister. I promise to always be by your side, like you were for me. I promise to never give up on you, like you never did with me. I promise to always tell you the truth, like you always tell me. I love you, Elle. Thank you for being you.
