"Whatever is good for your soul --- do that."
-Unknown

One of the most important things that I have learned is to do all things with the most amount of love as possible. In order to achieve a true sense of joy or peace, I have realized it depends on me, and my attitude towards life.

As I continue to grow and learn through my experiences, I am realizing more and more that true happiness has to come from within. Each of us has been given gifts to guide us to an unmatchable happiness. However, with life and its distractions, it is easy to forget the feeling of peace.

"My only intention for myself, is to remain true. True to my personal peace."

I have chosen to remain at a personal peace, through creating and learning. I truly believe we have been given all of the pieces we need to be at peace. Each of us knows our assets, but are quick to shine light on our faults. However, if we were to focus our attention on the things that bring true joy, love, or hope to our lives, greater success will be found.

Our attitudes control the outcome of our situations. Most of us have been introduced to the "glass half full" versus the "glass half empty" scenario. Simply put, focusing on what we have instead of what we lack, allows us to make the best of any situation. Accepting the circumstances that we have been given is the first step to loving the life we live.

Once we focus our energy on our assets, instead of our faults, we are able to see our true selves. Realizing that a perfect God has created us and designed us to fulfill a purpose for him, allows us to feel an undeniable love and acceptance. Relying on other people or objects to bring us true happiness will always fail.

Loving who you are, what you are doing, and where you are headed defines a true happiness and freedom for me. Being confident in the place I am in, and learning to trust the circumstances, has taught me an understanding and patience for the future.

The idea of living in peace, before I am resting in peace, sparked my desire to share what life lessons I have learned thus far.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
