Everyone loves free food, and everyone loves to celebrate the places that give free food on specific days of the year. Having a list of a bunch of these places can only be beneficial, so here's one of some places that give out these freebies and when:
IHOP National Pancake Day
Who doesn't love a free short stack of pancakes at any time during the day?! The date of this particular holiday tends to vary from year to year, but it usually comes around the beginning of March. Although they only serve regular pancakes for free, there's nothing wrong with bringing your own toppings.
7/11 Free Slurpee Day
This one is pretty self explanatory. Show up at any 7/11 on July 11th and you'll receive a free slurpee. Good news is that 7/11's are easy to find, so the limit of free slurpees you can get does not exist.
National Donut Day
National Donut Day is June 3rd. On this day, Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme give out free regular donuts!
Kilwin's Waffle Cone Wednesday
This one is special because it's not just once a year, it's EVERY Wednesday. Waffle cone Wednesday at Kilwin's is buy one, get one free. This is something I try to take advantage of every chance that I get. Sometimes I eat both.
Cow Appreciation Day
This day sounds a little strange, but dress up as a cow and you get a whole free meal at Chickfila! The date of this lovely holiday varies as well, but usually takes place in mid-July, so get your best cow costumes ready!
Jimmy John's Customer Appreciation Day
This is one that just had it's first appearance on the calendar this year, so many didn't even know to participate. While the subs are not completely free, they are only $1. Mark your calendars for April 21st!
While there are plenty of other free food opportunities out there, these are some of my favorites. If you didn't know about any of these, be on the look out from this point forward! A full belly and a full wallet is a great combo.
