To quote my favorite TV character from One Tree Hill "People always leave, but sometimes they stay." People come and go but those few people that stick around turn out to be the people you've been looking for all along. When I got to college, I didn't expect to meet so many different people. Now a year later and I've found my people, my tribe, the friends who matter to me. So this is a thank you note to my best friends.
Thank you for the adventures we've had. Whether it be singing our hearts out at a Beyonce concert or jumping in the car to drive into Atlanta for the day. Thank you for always listening to my problems and keeping me calm s I won't kill anybody. I'm thankful for our family dinners at Cookout and binge watching Grey's Anatomy on Netflix. Our inside jokes that people don't understand except us. Whenever we see each other, we don't resist screaming each other's names and jumping into a hug like we haven't seen each other in months.
We've been through the best of times and the worst of times. We've survived nearly failing a class and worked our butts off to pass. We made it through adventures in downtown and somehow managed to not get arrested. You guys are not just my friends, you've become my family. We've all have different roles that keeps us together whether it be the mom, the wild child, the jokester, or the smart and rational role model that keeps us in check.
So here's to making it through college so far and making it through our fights, misdoings, and personal struggles. I always know that wherever we may be, we always have each other to lean on.
Love,
Your Rebel Child of the family
