As finals approach us slowly, but surely, our emotions are probably a little unstable. Our eyes are full of tears and our fingers covered in paper cuts from the endless notecards we've been collecting all semester. The anticipation to finish finals is building. It's about time the semester came to an end, but at the same time, we are all secretly wishing for an extra few weeks in hopes we could bump up our grades by the slightest tenth of a point.
But as the semester closes, I know there are a few things I could (and should) thank my friends for.
1. Thank you for helping me study all those times.
Whether I was alone in my room and you provided silent motivation, or you sat outside the shower asking me questions, I appreciate your constant support. You kept me motivated because we both know I've definitely lost it more than I would like to admit.
2. I will always treasure our coffee runs and you being my personal taxi.
As my main source of caffeine (and my primary source of hydration, period) coffee runs were much-needed adventures. Whether they be at 2 a.m. or 2 p.m., you stuck by me and my addiction, and I can't thank you enough for that.
3. Thank you for letting me throw my temper tantrums.
I'm sorry for any times I may have lost my cool and been a little extra grumpy. I was probably running low on my coffee intake for the day and may have needed to recharge (or rehydrate). But either way, you remained my friend even after I freaked (probably because that cute boy took five whole minutes to reply to my text.)
4. Thank you for being my constant support system.
You were my personal comedian, my shoulder to cry on, and even sometimes my human alarm clock. This semester hasn't been easy and I couldn't have done it without you. You've wiped my tears, made me laugh, and pushed me to be a better person.
Overall, just a huge shoutout to you. On the downside, we will be spending almost a month apart for winter break, but I know as soon as spring semester rolls around, we'll pick up exactly where we left off. Thank you for putting up with me as long as you have, I know it isn't easy.
