Trump Is Wasting Time And Money On The Golf Course
Wikipedia

Donald Trump is spending a lot of time golfing. Literally a fourth of his first year in office has been spent golfing. He has visited his and other golf courses 87 times since being inaugurated in January. Trump is projected to visit golf courses 347 times if he is in office for 4 years, and a whopping 694 times. To compare that to past presidents, Bill Clinton played about 400 rounds in 8 years, Bush (43) spent only 24 days golfing because of the war in Afghanistan, and Barack Obama spent 306 in 8 years. This not only shows yet another way the current administration is wasting taxpayer money, but also the hypocrisy that is Donald Trump.

The cost of flights to and from Mar-a-Lago and Bedminster, Trump’s two frequented resorts, is a total of $28,270,000. The price tag for the Secret Service to guard those properties is $14,206,082. That comes to a grand total of $42,476,082. That means if this continues, Trump is on pace to spend $339,808,656 in eight years, god forbid he actually stays that long. He tweeted yesterday morning, because apparently, this is how we get information from our President now, that it was “time to get back to work.” Hours later he was spotted on the golf course. He also told several Mar-a-Lago members, who pay around $14,000 a year, that since the new tax bill was passed, they would all be a lot richer. That is a whole other issue.

Trump spent most of his time during President Obama’s two terms complaining about the amount of money that the Obama family spent on vacations. President Obama spent a total of about $12.1 million per year, and a grand total of $96 million on vacations and trips. Trump was extremely critical of President Obama during Obama’s presidency. He tweeted constantly about the waste of taxpayer money.

Even when he was asked during some of the Republican primary debates if he would spend all of his time at the golf course, because he owns many of them, he stated that he “would be too busy fixing the country to play golf.” Now, a year into his presidency, and he has already spent three times as much on vacation days. Although if you try to debate a Trump supporter on these facts, they will call you fake news, or insist that there is a perfectly good explanation for why Trump is using more money.

This is just another example of how this administration is misusing taxpayer money. From cabinet secretaries using private jets, to private fundraisers and expensive parties, to security this administration has spent more than necessary. The Republican led congress isn’t doing anything about it. There was a time when Republicans cared about the debt and how much Obama was golfing or taking vacation, why are there none around when Trump is doing three times the damage? We need to elect people who are going to put a check on this president, because he is going to do what he wants when he wants, it is what he has been doing his entire life. Resist.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
