To my mom
My mom is a very kind, open minded, loving, and understanding woman. She is the one person that I know I can go to whenever I need her, that being said my mom is also very tough and precise, she knows exactly what she wants and you better not get in her way. My mom is stubborn and has always had high expectations for my brother and I, and I do not know where I would be without her. She has taught me how to be hard working and to never settle for just doing the bare minimum, she has pushed my brother and I to be the best that she knows we can be. My mom raised my brother and I to be respectful and kind to everyone, we say “Yes sir” or “Yes Ma’am” to everyone no matter what their age is, we were raised to respond “Yes sir” or “Yes Ma’am” when our parents called us. My mom is a tough mom who never finished college and had to work her butt off in order to have the job that she does now. She proves herself every day by working over 60 hours a week and going above and beyond in her job.
My mom strives to prove herself and works very hard for everything that my brother and I have. She inspires me to always give 110% to everything no matter what. My mom and I may have had our fights and for what seemed like the longest time we could not get along, I remember I think I was eight years old, I wouldn’t apologize for something that I did and my punishment was to stand in a corner until I said I was sorry. I stood in this corner for 6 hours straight. She and I were both very stubborn and strong willed, so naturally we didn’t get along.
Now that I am older and more mature I feel like we are more friends. Do not get me wrong my mom will always be my mom first and my friend second, she will never be afraid to put me back in line when it’s necessary. I love my mom more than anyone in the world, and I wouldn’t trade her for anything. She has pushed me to be a better person, she knows my limits and has helped be through the best and the worst of times. I would just like to thank her for everything that she has done not only for me but for my awesome big brother as well. She has helped plan his wedding and she has helped me through college, she is the best mom in the world because she wants nothing more than to see her kids happy. I love my mom so much and I just want to thank her for everything.
