Now being an introvert I eat a lot of take out, but even us introverted foodies have the desire to go out at times. And, I have a variety of things I like to eat, as most anyone does. I mean, who wants to eat the same thing every time they go out? I know I don’t. So I will do my best to find something for everyone as I go along. And, knowing me, writing this is going to make me hungry.

First to start off any day, I have to stop in at Dunkin’ Donuts for some iced coffee. It’s what I enjoy year around, even in the winter from there. And they make a mean bagel, as well as some nice breakfast sandwiches. They also have cold drinks for you non-coffee drinkers as well that are just as good.

Now that we have woken up and gotten some of the day out of the way, it’s lunch time and I recommend stopping by Wild Burrito. The place has an awesome taco salad, but they have other salads as well. And, if you want a burger and fries they can also do that. Even chili and chips, or chili dogs. They have a wide variety of things for the foodie in you to try. And, great serving sizes to keep you coming back for more day after day.

Another great place for lunch or dinner is Stavros Pizzeria and Deli. I normally order out from them, but I admit though I have had the occasion to eat in at their restaurant. It is a nice place and the food is amazing. Their tossed salad—aka a garden salad—is fresh and delicious. And they are great with steak. Their pasta dishes are also divine. The sandwiches are packed full of great flavor. If you leave the table not full it is your own fault here.

Now speaking of dinner, if you are in a seafood mood you must swing by Becky’s Diner. They have amazing locally caught seafood that is absolutely delicious. I’m partial to the shrimp myself. My mom enjoys the fish and chips though and loves it. And, for those that can’t eat seafood, they have other great choices that are just as delicious. The atmosphere is great as well. Plus, the decorations are all Maine related, showing you tons of history about Maine that some of us local Mainers might not even know about without stepping into Becky’s Diner. I’m still working on getting to try dessert there, but the food is so good and filling.

If you are looking for something more off the beaten path for seafood, try Gilbert’s Chowder House. From what I have heard you can get just about any type of seafood you could desire. Plus, all sorts of soups and chowders. It comes highly recommended to me, just haven’t made it there yet. So I feel confident in recommending it to others.

Lastly, what meal would be complete without dessert? So, we will cruise over the Casco Bay Bridge to South Portland, home of Red’s Dairy Freeze. It’s basically an old time drive in that you drive up to and get out to order your choice of ice cream treat then take it back to your car to enjoy. It brings back memories for me every time I go. And the ice cream is so yummy. But, be careful of how fast you eat it, or the dreaded ice cream headache will get it you.

Yes, I have left some places out of this article. I have to have some secrets left to myself for now. You never know I might do another article like this sharing those ones as well. I’m also discovering new places, so there will probably be another article like this from me in the future. Enjoy your meals wherever they may be.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
