Friendsgiving? What is that and how do I do it? Well, we'll tell you. Friendsgiving is this magically wonderful thing where you eat lots of yummy Thanksgiving food but with your second family, aka your friends.

1. Determine date and time

You can't have a party if you don't have a date. The best way to do this is to pick the dates that work best for you then create a Facebook group with a poll. Keep in mind that the more people you invite the more conflicts you will have and you may not be able to accommodate everyone's need. The earlier you plan it the better, too because then you can get on everyone's schedule.

2. Determine guest list

When you don't have very many friends this is easy. Our guest list consisted of two people bringing us to a grand total of four, but for the rest of you who are "like so totally popular omg" the biggest thing to keep in mind is how many people you want to feed and how many will fit in the place where the event will be taking place.

3. Determine cooking situation and 4. Determine food

These two go hand in hand. Will it be potluck style? Will everything be cooked in one place? Will it all be cooked in one day? Can everyone even cook? What does everyone eat? If only two people eat yams do you really want to make them? Do you really want to try cooking a turkey or will you just get a rotisserie chicken? OH MY GOD SO MANY OPTIONS! Make a Facebook poll! See what everyone will eat, who can cook, what they can cook, and have people sign up to bring things or the ingredients to make things. Don't try to do it all yourself.

5. Determine alcoholic beverages and alcohol safety situation

Again, SO MANY OPTIONS! I will link a few both alcoholic and nonalcoholic just to help you out. And remember, drink responsibly. Make sure people have a designated driver or plan for people to stay over.

Alcoholic:
Spiked cinnamon vanilla hot chocolate
Spiked "Cider"
Apple Cider Moscow Mule
Apple Beermosa
Fireball Cider Cocktail
Red Wine Hot Chocolate

Non alcoholic:
Easy Hot Spiced Cider
Golden Apple Punch (this one can be alcoholic if you substitute the grape juice for sweet white wine)
Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
Slow Cooker Caramel Apple Cider
Slow Cooker Cranberry Apple Cider

If you learned anything from this, it should be that a Facebook event with polls will be your best friend in planning your Friendsgiving.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
