Five People You'll See At A Music Festival

Lollapalooza, Coachella, Firefly, Electric Daisy, Bonnaroo, Tomorrowland.

You've heard of 'em. They're everywhere these days. They're impossible to avoid, no matter how hard we try. They're enticing, exciting, and a little bit reckless, and it seems like every day Facebook timelines are clogged with status updates and photo albums raving about the crazy headliners and the fun times had.

If you have been to one of these festivals, you know that they're chock full of different kinds of people from all walks of life. Here are the five people you are guaranteed to see at a music festival.

1. Typical white girl. I hate to say it, but these days, you can see thousands of clones of that one stereotypical white girl (that we all like to think we are not at all like) roaming the festival grounds in high-waisted jean shorts and a crop top from Urban Outfitters. They're as harmless as the flower headband they're wearing, as this is their natural habitat. You can find them in a flock of girls who all look exactly the same waiting front row for Lana Del Rey.

2. Hippie. This person is here to let the good times roll. They're not stressing to get front row for the headliner everyone wants to see, and would rather lay down on their tapestry at a less crowded stage and enjoy the music. You can find the festival hippie chillaxing at the hammock hangout at Firefly or sitting on the grass discussing how "awesome" Ziggy Marley was.

3. Bro. Though not as common as the two people aforementioned, the Bro is seen most often with a group of Typical White Girls. He will casually sport a straw hat and Wayfarers, a Bro's necessities for scoping out his favorite band and a chick to talk to.  He can be found at his campsite or trekking the festival with his fellow Bros sipping out of his Camelbak.

4. Pre-Teen. These are the kids most people dread seeing at a festival. The Pre-Teen most definitely begged their parents to get tickets for Christmas or Cyber Monday, and reluctantly agreed when their mom said they would also be attending. They can be seen screaming in high pitched voices during various performances and carrying festival merch while talking at the speed of light with mom trailing behind in her brand new Nikes.

5. Groupie. This person is pure entertainment for the rest of us festival-goers. Usually, they're extremely passionate about only one act at the festival and will do anything to be front row for the performance, even if this means waiting at the venue for three performances before them. The Groupie can be seen waiting in line to get their favorite artist's signature or squeezed up in front row with tears streaming down their face.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
