I love food, and one of my favorite things about food is trying out new kinds and recommending them to my friends. So, step outside of your Chipotle comfort zone and give these great places a try. Without further adieu, here are five of my favorite local restaurants in Denton, TX

Come for the $2 margaritas, stay for the chips and salsa. Seriously, probably the best $2 you can spend on a restaurant margarita. Perfect for Girls night or endless wednesdays where you can get all you can eat enchiladas for $7!
Located on Scripture, this is my favorite pan-Asian restaurant in Denton. They have sushi, Thai food, Chinese food ,and sake. I have loved every dish I’ve tried. My personal favorites are the Tuna Tower and Pad Kee Mow – a spicy noodle dish rightfully named “drunken stir-fry” that is perfect for after that fry street crawl.
Pizza lovers look no further, the Fort Worth favorite Pizza Snob has come to town! They have a selection of specialty pizza recipes to choose from, or you can choose to build your own pizza out of the sauces, cheese and toppings they offer. I highly recommend BBQ sauce, asiago cheese, beer glazed onions, candied jalapenos, Bacon, and pulled pork. Don’t skip out on the drink either; they have specialty small batch sodas from Maine!
Viet Bites
Viet Bites has two locations. I personally prefer the one on Elm street, but the one on Hickory hits the spot as well. I recommend the Bahn Mi, a Vietnamese sandwich with pickled veggies and jalapenos, traditionally served with pork and a house butter on French bread. Can’t go wrong with this simple lunch! They also serve up a delicious brisket pho with all the fixin’s.

LSA Burger Co.
Lone Star Attitude was the first classic Denton restaurant I went to when I first arrived here, and it’s still remains my favorite restaurant to introduce to friends. If you’re of age, be sure to ask the bartender for an old menu favorite the “Miss Tucker,” a mojito muddled with serranos. Refreshing with a hint of spice, perfect for sipping on the roof of LSA while listening to live music. Don’t miss out on the garlic parmesan fries or the brisket queso either.
