One of the most satisfying experiences in life is drinking a good quality cup of coffee, and I personally love exploring different coffee shops and trying new authentic coffee drinks. If you are a coffee lover (addict) like myself, here are five uniquely delicious coffee shops that you have to check out.
1. Undergrounds Coffeehouse

Undergrounds is located in Santa Clarita, California. It is associated with Real Life Church, and is located quite literally "underground". They brew locally roasted, organic coffee. Undergrounds has set prices for its drinks to ensure it covers operating costs in addition to giving a portion of each drink to its yearly cause. In 2016 it is supporting organizations that fight human trafficking.
The atmosphere of Undergrounds is both inviting and trendy, and provides a space for local artists to perform. All of their workers are volunteers, and they put the effort into brewing good quality coffee. One of my favorite drinks to order is a cold brew iced latte. Undergrounds has gained so much attention that they are now moving to a more spacious location, and use the hashtag #undergroundsgoesaboveground on their Instagram.
2. Coffee Nature
Coffee Nature is located Newport Beach, California. This coffee shop was established in 2014 and serves organic, Stumptown coffee beans - a coffee roaster and retailer based in Portland, Oregon. Their coffee is high quality and it tastes amazing. They serve a variety of different flavored lattes, with their most popular being either the lavender or coconut latte. I personally love their iced coconut latte with an extra shot of espresso. Not only is their coffee amazing, but you also have to try their house specialty gluten-free crepes. Coffee Nature provides a warming environment with "hipster-esque" decor, where you can just relax or bring work to do.
3. Dinosaur Coffee
Dinosaur Coffee is located in Silver Lake, Los Angeles. The owners, Ben and Michelle Hantoot, took the time to create a unique and trendsetting atmosphere for all coffee lovers. From the ceiling hangs a modern interpretation of the Jurassic skeleton of a Stegosaurus. Their coffee beans come all the way from San Francisco's Four Barrel Coffee roasters. Not only do they have delicious coffee, but their brewed teas are equally as tasty. Also, something fun about their coffee shop is their creative mugs and tea-pots on display. Not to mention, one of Dinosaur Coffee's founders is also the co-creator of the ever popular "Cards Against Humanity."
4. Urth Caffe
Urth Caffe is located in multiple locations throughout SoCal including Melrose, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Downtown LA, Pasadena and Laguna Beach, and it is a popular destination to say the least. Urth Caffe has delicious food and pastries, but I always order one of their coffees when I visit them. They offer organically grown, heirloom coffee that is 100% chemical free and has a unique and rich flavor to their light, medium and dark roasts. I've noticed that no matter how busy it is, they put in the time to put handcrafted designs on top of their hot coffee drinks. The presentation is equally as satisfying as the coffee itself. Also, if you are fan of boba like myself, you have to try their various boba teas. They are sweet and well prepared.
5. Dripp Coffee
Dripp is located in both Chino Hills and Fullerton. Dripp truly strives to have authentic tasting coffee, and have flavors from all over the world such as Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Peru, Columbia, Guatemala and Indonesia. They have a classy coffee bar right when you walk in the door. The environment of their coffee shop combines a mix of modern yet classical old styles. Dripp is dedicated to providing the most satisfying coffee for their customers. All of the workers are friendly and willing to offer suggestions of what would be the best drink to order for you. Also, you have to try their ice-cream sandwiches. You can customize what kind of cookie and ice-cream you want. They are truly a one of a kind coffee shop for all coffee lovers.
