During the school year, I'm always trying to find different apps/subscriptions to keep me on top of my work and stay organized! I am always relying on apps and websites to keep me on track. These are the top six apps/subscriptions that I'm obsessed with.
1. theSkimm
If you're anything like me, I have zero time to read through article after article of news. theSkimm is an absolute lifesaver for me. This app takes current news and puts it in an easy-to-read format in your email every weekday morning, so no more reading through multiple articles. The news you need is right where you need it: in your inbox. You'll know exactly what is going on in the world.

2. Spotify
My go-to music player. I always use Spotify when I'm working out, walking to class, or just to calm. Spotify has so many songs and artists that I never struggle to find what I'm looking for (except for Taylor Swift) I've made the switch to Premium, which is the best money I've ever spent. Student can get Spotify Premium for a discounted rate too.
3. Pinterest
Many think Pinterest is perfect for finding the perfect summer swimsuit or the best cupcake recipe, but it has much, much more. Pinterest has a wealth of knowledge for career/academic information. There are so many articles and infographics on information decisions for possible majors/minors, tips on perfecting your resume, as well as interviewing tips and skills.
4. LinkedIn
LinkedIn is the new Facebook. LinkedIn allows users to essentially create a Facebook page for your career. You update it with your work experience, education, skills, etc. It's the perfect way to start networking with peers and others around you, as well as keep an up-to-date record of everything you've been doing academically and career-based. Some companies are even requiring a LinkedIn profile for potential job applicants.

5. YouTube
Obviously, YouTube is a hugely popular website for viral or music videos. Many forget that YouTube can be used as an educational resource. You can learn practically anything from a YouTube video. From learning how to conjugate a French verb to learning how to solve that really hard pre-calc question, YouTube is a free, easy and fast way to get the help you need.
6. Microsoft OneNote
So long are the days you need a full spiral notebook for your notes. Microsoft OneNote allows you to make virtual notebooks and pages digitally so you are never scrambling to find your notes from the second week of classes. It allows you to access notes on your other devices such as tablets or phones. You can download it for free on their website or the App Store.
Have you used any of these apps? Which ones are your favorite?
