When it comes to fitness and living a healthy lifestyle, there is no destination. It's a journey that's difficult to stay committed too because of pure laziness and all the delicious foods in the world. A great way to get started is by writing down what you want to accomplish, for example squatting 150 lbs. by the end of the year or do three pull-ups by the end of the month. Struggling to plan a workout or perfecting the correct form? There are so many Youtube videos and mini clips on social media from trainers that explain what they are targeting and show how to do the exercises correctly. However, whether your goal is to tone, bulk, or shred, don't compare yourself to the videos or pictures you see on social media. Be inspired by them, learn from them, and incorporate those forms and skills into your own workout plan! Now fuel your body with rich nutrients and plenty of water, grab your gym bag and get ready to sweat because this winter is time to get stronger - physically and mentally!

There's no school to wake up for, no homework to do, and no responsibilities to worry about. I am completely wrong about the "responsibilities" part because a girl like me needs to work for Christmas gifts and all the restaurants and activities in the city, you know what I mean? Anyways, be pumped and excited to get your body moving, blood flowing, and heart racing! Eric Thomas once said, "if you want to breathe as bad as you want to succeed then you'll be successful". Keep that in mind while you're about to give up. If your legs are still moving and you're still breathing, there's no need to stop. Jam out to your go-to hype song and keep going!

Don't forget to snap a couple progress photos to remind you why you started in the first place. Now, do this for yourself and no one else.

Marching Through March

Some appreciation for the month of March.

I love the entire year. Well, for the most part. I'm not a big fan of Winter, but even then, every month has something that's pretty great. November? Thanksgiving. December? Winter Holidays. January? New Year's. February? Valentine's and Single Awareness Day. May? Existential dread during finals. But for me, March has always been my favorite month of the year, and for good reason.
