First Semester Of College As Told By 'Kim Possible'

College is an entirely new experience for you, and you have some high hopes heading into your first semester.

You want to do your best to stand out amongst the crowd, but not be labeled as "that freshman."

Orientation and the first week of classes will leave you exhausted, but there's no better solution to that than a nap.

And as you go deeper into the semester, you begin to miss your parents and siblings and coming home to a full house. But...

You're starting to make lots of great new friends!

But not all of your first friends will be there for the long run.

But don't fret, because others will stay in your life and tolerate your "unique" sense of humor.

And your first dose of college parties, well let's just say...

But with this all being a new experience, it may be a bumpy road. But your parents, high school friends, and perhaps your new friends will be there to pick you up when you're down.

Or just some personal space.

And as far as college-level classes and professors go, well...

You're genuinely surprised that your first class goes from reviewing the syllabus to actually learning new material.

And in some of your classes, the professor tells you to get a textbook that you will never use in class for the rest of the semester.

Your first round of midterms comes along, as you learn that the exam is nothing like the review.

After getting your grade back, you promise to get a little more serious about school work.

Maybe you're trying to meet "the one," but in your efforts to find this person, you learned that going on dates was never your forte.

Or maybe you'll get lucky and find someone you'll really connect with.

Before you know it, finals week is already sneaking up on you!

And you've heard you're in for a good time during finals week...

Yeah, you'll learn that cramming and procrastinating are not good ideas this time around.

But before you know it, finals week will be over and you'll be heading into Christmas break!

And your first semester of college is done! It was filled with ups and downs, highs and lows, but you came out of it alive and top. All you can do is look back on your first semester, take it as it was, and give yourself some credit on getting through it! The next semester will be the same roller coaster ride, so get ready for round two.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
