Dear Zac Efron,
I am sure that you are honored to be noted as my first celebrity crush. You are the only one to achieve that title. Does it put your MTV movie awards to shame? Well if it doesn't, maybe you can make it up to me? Yeah... probably not, but I thought I would at least try.
The first time I saw "High School Musical," I was not only dazzled by your amazing dance moves, but your hair as well. You had Justin Bieber hair before Justin Bieber even did. Zac, you are the real OG. Your hair flip was better than any of the boys in my middle school. Of course, the flippy hair got less attractive the more I looked at it. Thank goodness you realized the error of your ways and cut it. That's another thing you wised up to before JB. At this point, you should be getting more credit for these achievements.
Honestly, you did many things better than boys in my middle school. You gave me higher standards and for that, I am very grateful. Throughout the years when all I had to crush on was middle school boys, you kept me sane and hopeful that there was something better out there. Technically you are only 10 years older than me. Actually, a little less since my birthday is in February and yours is in October. I don't know about you, but I would say that is totally doable. You should tell your agent to contact me.
For one, you taught me to look for boys that are well-rounded. People toss that word around a lot, especially during college admissions time, but you are the epitome of a well-rounded individual. I bet you could get into any college your heart desired. I would accept you. Just think about what you have going for you. A guy that can sing, dance and act, what more could they ask for? What more could any girl ask for? Especially when most guys can't do any of those things. Keep on dancing, Zac, because the 10-year-old girl in me just can't get enough. Even Ellen couldn't get enough when you danced on her show.
So even though I have since taken down the posters of you on my wall, straight out of J-14 Magazine, you will always be in the back of my mind when I think about my new crush (or you know, boyfriend, since boys have changed a lot since middle school). Maybe I have come to realize that there is more to a relationship than singing and dancing, or maybe I have just come to realize that you are so out of my league. Either way, I too have come a long way since middle school. In fact, singing and dancing are not on my list of must haves in a boy. However, now that you have clearly been working out for "Baywatch" (2017), maybe you will be on my radar again.
XO,
A Former Crushee
