Joshua 1:5
Once you’ve felt the warm embrace of Jesus Christ, and you’ve knelt at his feet, you will never want to leave that feeling.
You will never want to go through a day without knowing that He is there. I'm not saying that life can’t get in the way, and you can be caught up in life, because we all know that can happen. This article is for every follower of Jesus, who has at one point in their life has lost touch with Him and His glory.
Life can catch everyone of us off guard.
Life gets busy sometimes and we lose sight of the things that we truly want in life. We put things that are important to us on the back burner just to get through the day. You can start to move further and further away from your faith, until you forget it’s there.
You remind yourself that even though you have forgotten faith for sometime, God has been there the entire time helping you and guiding you through a challenging time. Although you may have forgotten faith, it has not forgotten you.
Luke 19:10 says “If you are lost, God will find you.”
Even though you may have forgotten God, your faith will always have your back. I’m here to tell you that you can come back even though you may find it hard to form a prayer, or a challenge to go back to church… You are still welcome, and come back soon. I know it can be intimidating, struggling to form a prayer or not knowing where to begin on the journey of renewal. Whatever the reasoning is of reawakening your faith, there is a reason and purpose behind it. God will forgive and welcome you back.
It’s okay to come back… even if you feel guilty for straying away from God’s arms.Everyone sins, no one is perfect, we all mess up sometimes… but it’s all about how you recover from it. Sometimes life pushes us down and it’s hard to get back on your feet but when you are a child of God, it makes it so much easier to get back up. He has a plan, remember that. If you’re in a place in your life where you feel like you just can’t win. Call out to Him, rejoice in His glory. In order to have a relationship with God, you need to be sure about it. You can’t keep putting Him on the back burner, He should be first. Just calling out to Him in your time of need isn’t okay. He will be there and He will listen, but that’s not fair to Him. Think about it, what if someone only call out when they needed something from you, it would obviously hurt you. Pray to God, talk to God, worship God, be there for Him as much as He is there for you. Pursuing your relationship with God again is possible, but you have to be willing to work for it. It’s like any other relationship you have, you both need to put in effort. Look around you, look at the lifestyle you are living, the people you are hanging out with, the music you are listening to. Each one of those things, can have an effect on your relationship with God. Find friends who will go to church with you, who you can sing worship music with. Those are the kind of friends that will last a lifetime.
