So often in life, we girls get tied into relationships and obsessions that aren't suitable for us. We want so much to find the perfect guy, but are often mistaken by who he might be. With the honor of being girls, comes the responsibility of knowing who we are and what we stand for. It is not honorable nor respectable to allow ourselves or each other to be pushed around by boys. We need to stand up for ourselves and recognize that we deserve men, not boys.
Find a man who talks to you even when there’s nothing to say.
The difference between men and boys is that boys won't keep up a conversation or talk to you if there's nothing to talk about. Now who wants that? Someone who only talks to you when they have something to say? Maybe never. Men will talk to you wherever and whenever, whether it be about everything or absolutely nothing. You deserve someone who will listen to pure nonsense and love talking to you all the same.
He doesn’t care what you look like.
Although it's good to always look nice for your guy, a real man won't care. He'll like you with or without makeup and will love what you look like in his over sized t-shirt.
He’s a gentleman.
A boy won't open doors for his lady and make sure she's in first, but a man will. A man will make sure his girl has whatever she needs and make sure that she feels comfortable. He's a gentleman in all senses of the word and you deserve exactly that.
Find a man who wants to spend Saturday with you, not just Friday night.
While a boy just wants to hookup with you, a man wants to get to know everything about you and actually cares. He doesn't just want to see you out on Friday nights but also wants to go on hikes with you on Saturday afternoon.
He’s not afraid to say how he actually feels.
A man isn't afraid of his feelings. He wants to tell you how he feels about you and he isn't ashamed about it. He wants to make sure you know how much he cares and how much he means to you. You deserve someone who will tell you and make sure you know how much you mean to them each and every day.
Find a man who knows what he wants and goes for it.
Boys will play games and toy with your heart, but a man will go right in and make sure you know how much he wants to spend time with you. He'll make the effort to take you out and talk to you all the time. He'll make sure that you know you're his.
