Ah, the joy of finals week. All-nighters, stress eating, crying, and drowning in papers and presentations. You don't know how stressful college is until you reach finals week. Midterms are just a bittersweet taste of what finals week is all about. If you thought finals week in high school was bad, think again. The only thing that gets us through the week is a triple red eye from Starbucks and the thought of winter break that is so close, yet it seems so far away. Here are ten ways supernatural perfectly describes how college students feel during this God awful week.

1. When you find out the final is cumulative.

2. When you have three papers, two lab reports, and four exams tomorrow.

3. When you get to the final and look at the exam and realize you're going to fail.

4. When you thought your final was on Thursday, but realize it was yesterday.

5. Me: Can you bump my grade up to an A?

Professor: But you have a 55%

Me: But I tried

Professor:

5. When you see your friends after you know you just failed your final exam.

6. The night before a final.

7. When you try to look at the smart kid's scantron.

8. When your professor catches you cheating.

9. When your parents ask how your finals went.

10. When the professor makes the final exam short answer instead of multiple choice.

Welcome to college kids!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
