1. Leggings

Lulu’s, non-Lulu’s; it doesn’t matter! Grab any pair to go! It's finals season and this GPA ain’t going to be fun in a pair of jeans!

2. Sweatpants

Now this look is harder to rock because it can go from modest to looking like your life is falling apart, so make sure they are cute!

3. Hoodies

The best hoodies I own, are ones I have taken from other people! So make sure you are wearing one that is not yours!

4. Jackets

Jean jackets, and nike jackets are the only jackets I know. Anything else may seem like you are trying too hard, on the “not trying, but trying” look.

5. Runners

During the summer I met a group of people that come to Chicago to work as bartenders. Like the Jersey Shore of the Midwest; and they called their running shoes ‘runners’ and it stuck with me. So make sure you have some cute runners.

6. Hats

Not only can I hide my greasy hair, but my ugly face too! Hats are one of those rare inventions that can make you look 90% more attractive without trying!

7. Cute Tee Shirts

Sorority tees, volunteer tees, stolen tees; anything works! Specially if it is a tank, and then you wear an oversized cardigan! I got mine at Hollister!

8. Buns

I only like buns if they look good, and they usually look good right before I hit the shower.

9. Ponies

My hair is long again, yay! That means a high pony with a few fly away hairs.

10. Coffee

I like mine black, without sugar.

11. Latte

Pumpkin spice season! And it will almost be peppermint and hot cocoa season!

12. Under Eyes Circles

Honestly, I had no idea what these were until college. It goes so well with my navy Lulu’s!

13. Fiji Water

Greta (my roommate), woke her boyfriend up and made him go get her Fiji water because she was craving it. Mind you it is 40 degrees in Chicago. Sometimes, the crave is stronger.

14. Despair

This smell is great on no one! Somewhere between sweat and B.O.

15. Planner

Erin Condren, need I say more?

16. Computer

Make sure you have a paper taped over your webcam!

17. Charger(s)

preferably not broken ones!

18. Tea

The lavender stress relieve from Yogi works wonders!

19. Loss of Motivation

Been there, done that! Keep pushing through, and if not, allow yourself one hour of Netflix!

20. Crying

It happens to the best of us! I usually watch really sad Facebook posts, so it seems like I am crying because of something sad; but in reality I am having a mental breakdown and watch something sad to get it out of my system!

21. Chapstick

No matter how much I have; I always lose it and need more!

22. Tissues, for your issues!

it’s flu season!

23. Gum

Extra, because what else would you buy?

24. Midlife Crisis

Usually the point where you are so stress you want to give up and contemplate becoming a stripper.

25. Salad

Let’s be honest, you are not going to the gym, the only exercise you will be doing is moving your hand from the chips to your mouth. So you grab a salad to make yourself feel better.

26. Insomnia Cookies

After the salad, you realize that it’s finals, so you reward yourself with a dozen cookies.

27. Messy Room

After all the chaos, you come home to a messy room and realize that your emotions are not the only thing falling apart.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
