While living in an unpredictable life, we will inevitably have our good days and our bad ones. Some days you will wake up not feeling completely yourself and you can sometimes even tell when a day is going to be a bad one. However, you must eliminate that negativity or else a perfectly good day could be transformed into a bad one. A bad day is as real as you make it, and just the same for a good day! So why not choose to have a good one?
Here are a few suggestions as to how you can have a good day!
Take a bath!
Turn on your favorite music, grab an easy read, fill up the tub with warm water and a bath-bomb and you're ready for relaxation. Taking baths is not only relaxing but they improves your blood circulation, help you stay in shape by relieving your muscles and also helps you fall asleep to further your relaxation. (Note: Don't fall asleep in the bathtub. That's dangerous.)
Photography.
Expressing yourself in an art form such as photography can be very relaxing. Regardless as to if you are taking pictures of someone else, something else or yourself, to take photography, is the act of immortalizing a moment.
Eating good food.
Who doesn't like good food? Eating can turn any bad day into a good day and any good day into the perfect day. Whatever your favorite dish may be, find it and eat it!
Meet up with a friend!
Alone-time is definitely a good thing, but having good friends is an even better one. Having good friends is scientifically proven to be good for your health. According to the Centre for Studies on Human Stress, those who have a healthy group of friends live longer because of their lower stress levels.
Have a glass of wine (or two, three...a bottle?)
Not only does wine taste good, it can be good for you! According to a study by Washington State University and Harvard, wine is good for your heart and can help you burn calories!
Complement someone.
It's nice to be nice. There has to be something about a person that you admire about them! Why not tell them? Compliments are full of positive energy! Not only will it make them smile, but it will make you smile, too!
Reading.
Reading is a great way for you to relax, and focus on a world other than your own. It can be something as easy as the magazines in the check-out line at the grocery store; something complicated like Gertrude Stein; stimulating like Joyce Carol Oates; or artful like Fitzgerald. Whatever style of writing you like, reading is very relaxing and healthy for the mind.
Re-watch a movie / show that makes you happy.
Take a nap!
Sometimes, things can just get too exciting and wear you out! Napping can lower your blood pressure, increases your alertness, and aids in cognitive memory processing. So go take a nap so that you can continue the fun when you wake!
Buy yourself something that you've been wanting.
Try something new!
Maybe you want to try to start a new fashion trend? Try a new food? or decide to go sky diving, doing something that you've never done or possibly never even considered before can be really exciting! Not only are you exposing yourself to a new experience, but you're also learning to understand yourself better by doing so.
Celebrate, yourself!
We all have our good days and our bad ones, but always remember to choose to have a good day, and also, to celebrate yourself! If you choose to have a good day, then you will continue to contribute to the happiness of those in your life, and that positive energy is expressed in the world around you!
