In this day and age a feminist can easily be viewed as a feminazi and vice versa. When I say feminazi, I’m referring to the people who believe women must take control and, from the sounds of things, wipe out every man on the face of the earth, while a “feminist” according to Webster’s dictionary is someone who supports feminism, which is “the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men.”

Feminists are supposed to stand for equality not total domination. The inequality in society can manifest itself as objectification. At this point in our culture, men and women both objectify women. Where it began is not the point, but men have learned throughout the years that women are to be showcased. To sit on prize cars in booty shorts, to wear the next style of bra down a runway, and to stay doled up in the work environment with high heels and mascara. Intellect isn’t related to boob size. Women, however, are taught to be objects, so we do what we’re told. Women are expected to have a certain look. To be slender, to have no blemishes, and to be proper. Thus many women starve themselves, spend extensive amounts of money on beauty products, and get themselves to a doctor for plastic surgery. Women are damaging each other and themselves when they point out or “correct” their “flaws” and by trying to show up others with their designer, size 0, skinny jeans.

Feminazis will always point the finger claiming that men are always openly objectifying women, though it’s true some do, many don’t, or don’t realize they are. Some men will think that catcalling should be viewed as a compliment when it’s really disrespectful and rude. It’s as if there is a lack of common sense in society. There is. A social disconnect where men and women should be treated and talked to differently. The trick is to find some common ground and work our way out of this mess.

There are women who sleep around because society has showed them that if you want to get anywhere in life, you need to give into the men with power. The second she thinks she’s done what she’s supposed to do to survive, the community then calls her a slut and leaves her in the dust to lie in her confusion about this unequal double standard. People as a whole need to work together to build each other up to create a different and better community to understand the wants and needs of men, women, and everyone inbetween.

One last thing about feminazis is that they will blow up on minor things such as someone holding the door open for them… or not holding the door open for them. They don't seem to grasp the larger picture. Right now, at this very second, humans are being trafficked on the Net through sources such as Backpage.com. As long as there’s a demand for sex objects there will always be a supply. This sexism needs to end.
