Summer is here and it is time to party. Well, maybe not. Summer is a time of fun and happiness, but also of laziness and boredom. Summer is full of contradictions and one of the biggest contradictions is the feelings to be had during summer. There are lots of feelings associated with summer and these are just a few of the most prominent ones:
1. Relieved.
The first feel is the relief that is sleeping in as much as you want and having as much time as you could possibly have to do whatever makes you happiest.
2. De-stressed.
No more finals, no more homework, no more tests… At least for a couple months. It is time to relax and get happy.
3. Excited.
You are going to do all the stuff that you’ve been longing to do forever. You are more excited to summer than you’ve ever been to do anything ever. There is so much to do and so much to accomplish and you are going to do it all.
4. Happy.
The time is now and the place is here. It’s time to get your happy on. You are free and you are happy. School is out and you are ready to get your summer on.
5. Bingey.
Go on those Netflix and food binges because that’s what summer is all about.
6. Bored.
You have officially run out of stuff to do. You have finished that amazing Netflix series and watched all the movies you missed during school. You honestly just sleep half the time because you don’t have anything else better to do.
7. Reminiscent.
Meeting with all your old friends and chilling and relaxing is fun and brings back all the memories of the good, kind of, days of high school and beyond. You walk through your favorite place in your hometown and hang with all the bests from high school and think about all the cool stuff you guys have done.
8. Famous.
If you have ever been to see friends who are still in high school during the summer, then you know how exclusive being a college student makes you seem. All those youngins look up to you and you have done practically nothing to do deserve it, you know, other than graduating high school and going to college.
9. Lazy.
Pretty much an all around the year feelings, but during summer this feeling ramps up about 400 percent and takes over your whole life. I know I don’t do anything but I’m still too exhausted to do anything else.
10. Thankful.
You have officially survived another year at college. You may be in a bit worse shape than last semester but hey all that matters is that you are still alive.
11. Ready.
You’ve had enough of summer and being home. You want to be back at college with all your favorite people doing all your favorite activities and hitting all your favorite hangs.
