I wouldn’t really consider myself to have a bunch of shows that I watch on the regular. What normally happens with me is that I find one show that catches my attention than my nights after that usually consist of watching 2 or 3 (sometimes even more) episodes a night and falling in love with the show. Some shows might seem like it's just about one thing but in reality I believe that these shows can all teach us something. If you step back and look at the bigger picture, I’m sure you’ll learn a couple of new things.

Not too long ago I started a new series “One Tree Hill” and a couple of days ago, I finished the show. As I approached the final episodes I couldn’t help but to watch the episodes more slowly. I hesitated to click on that next episode button because I wasn’t sure if I wanted the show that I loved to end so soon. This show has definitely taught me different things and has definitely had its emotional moments. It’s been a roller coaster of emotions and here are 3 of the quotes from the final episode that I would like to share with you guys.

1. “If you had a friend you knew you’d never see again, what would you say? If you could do one last thing for someone you love, what would it be? Say it, do it, don’t wait. Nothing lasts forever.” –Brooke Davis

Brooke Davis talks about how nothing lasts forever and she is right. Unfortunately, everything comes to an end whenever it is necessary. So why wait? If there is something you want to say or need to say, or do...then do it! If you wait, you might not have that chance to do it again, don’t let these precious moments slip. You don’t know when it’ll be the last time that you see someone. Have that conversation with an old friend, tell your family that you love them, just do it. Sometimes we say that we are waiting until the “perfect time” to do or say something. Avoid the possibility of regret, and just go for it.

2. “We spend so much time wanting, pursuing, wishing. But ambition is good. Chasing things with integrity is good. Dreaming.” –Haley James Scott

am·bi·tion
amˈbiSH(ə)n/
noun
a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work.

As much as it is great to dream and want...you have to do something in order for it to happen. This is where ambition comes in. Create that image in your head, create that goal, envision it, then do something about it. Not everything in life is going to be handed to you in a silver platter, there are things that you're going to have to work for.

3. “It’s the oldest story in the world. One day you’re 17 and planning for someday. And then quietly and without you ever really noticing, someday is today. And then someday is yesterday. And this is your life.” – Nathan Scott

Scary, right? As much as you may want to deny it time flies by. Sometimes it may seem like your day is just dragging on but when you look back it is sometimes hard to figure out how exactly it went by so fast. On some occasions, we may even find ourselves making countdowns for big events and wishing for the days in between to go by when we should really be enjoying every day. Where did high school go? How is college already over? When did I enter the real world? How did this all happen so quickly, and can I go back to nap time in kindergarten just for a day? But remember that time where you felt trapped or were going through something rough? You did it, you found a way. Step back and look around, you’re here and that’s pretty amazing, don’t you think?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
