What Your Favorite "Friends" Character Says About You

Friends. The one show on Netflix that you could literally be shunned from a friend group for not watching. We've all seen it (and if not, why are you reading this?) and let's be honest, we all have a favorite character.

Joey:

You love to have fun. And all kinds of it. Not only do you love to have fun, but you gravitate towards other people who like to have fun. You also really dislike it when people patronize you and you're a confident person. You like someone who can come up with funny jokes, but you love people who are naturally funny and witty. There's a high probability that your room is pretty messy and you have also probably eaten your weight in pizza at least once.

Phoebe:

You love to surround yourself with people who are out of the ordinary. Your friend group is a mish-mash of various "types" of people and you wouldn't have it any other way. Even within your friend group, you might be the most eclectic or out of place but your friends love you for it. You're also might be more of a free spirit. Which is great. You're also a bit of a thrill seeker. You'd quite literally "try anything once."

Chandler:

You live for comedy. Whether it's you cracking the joke or your best friend, you thrive off of laughter. Your friends know that you're the "funny" one and they expect nothing less from you that a well-timed one-liner with a perfect punchline. Chandler's the funny guy who goes for the girl who's a little bit too out of his league. But he's caring, sweet, and a good husband to Monica, another reason to love the waterfall of sarcasm that is Chandler Bing.

Monica:

You're a perfectionist. You like order and you've considered self-diagnosing yourself with OCD. You also like Monica the best because of her relationship with Chandler. You appreciate her loving side and her motherly instincts. In fact, some of your friends would say that you have baby fever. You probably have multiple Pinterest boards dedicated to your wedding. You're conventional, generous, and all around wonderful person, even if your a bit overbearing at times. But, you do know how to have a good time. As long as it's not too messy.

Ross:

Ok I'm going to be honest. I really don't see why anyone would pick Ross as favorite. Don't get me wrong, he's a great guy. But, between all the other characters, he just can't compare. If, however, Ross is your favorite, you're sympathetic. Your life doesn't always go as planned but you try to make the most of it. There's also a good chance you are often the butt of one of your friends jokes. But, your friends still love you, even if you are a little bit of a nerd.

Rachel:

I love Rachel. Honestly. But I can't pick her as my favorite because I simply fear I'm not worthy. She is a queen. Just look at her wardrobe. I would wear every outfit she wore in the entire series, except maybe the pink leopard print pants from season 6. Everyone likes Rachel. If she's your favorite, it probably just means you not only recognize her queendom, but you appreciate her lifestyle. You just like her a little extra. Which is totally understandable.

Everyone has a favorite. Who's yours?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
