Everybody loves music, it's this crazy thing that can you make you feel and change moods depending on what it is and who you are listening to. Music is something I can't go a day without, and so I decided to write about some bands that I enjoy listening to and have influenced me personally. Enjoy x

SAINT MOTEL~ This band is an indie pop band from LA and consists of 4 really talented guys. AJ Jackson's voice is absolutely beautiful, it puts me in the best mood and I could listen to them whether I'm studying or dancing. One of the few bands for me that I've liked almost every song that they have come out with, they really are gold. Some of my absolute favorites: Ace in the Hole, For Elise, Benny Goodman, Getaway

TAME IMPALA~ Probably one of the best bands to listen to while stoned, Tame Impala is an Australian psychedelic band that has some of the funkiest, hypnotic tunes I've ever heard. Really puts you under a spell and trips you out a little bit when you listen to them, the beats and the rhythms used are so good it gives me chills. Favorites: The Less I Know the Better, Feels Like We Only Go Backwards, Vital Signs

FOREIGN/ NATIONAL~ This is an alternative/indie group from Melbourne, Australia and their music is amazing. It's definitely not a well known band in the states, but their music is incredible and super chill at the same time. Honestly feel like I'm on the beach and there are no worries in the world whenever I'm listening to them. Favorites: Life Tourist, The Hedonist

SATELLITE STORIES~ Finnish indie pop band, their music is super catchy, and just good for jammin' around. Their latest album which was released was given a 5 star review by one of the biggest newspapers in Finland. Favorites: Campfire, Australia, Lights Go Low, Vagabonds

GLASS ANIMALS~ Honestly one of my all time favorites to listen to, this is an english indie rock band. Hypnotic and a bit trancelike, their music really makes you feel something. Favorites: Exxus, Life Itself, Gooey

TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB~ Brings me back to my high school days, and their music brings back the best memories. This is an Irish rock indie band, and I couldn't even begin to describe how crazy good their music is, so I'm not even gonna try. Favorites: What You Know, Something Good Can Work, Sun, Sleep Alone

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD~ This is an American rock band, and their music is freaking amazing. Jesse Rutherford's voice is phenomenal, I swear I couldn't ever get sick of listening to it. Just take my word for it and listen to the whole Wiped Out album, seriously one of my favorite albums of all time.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
