Goodbye summer // Where hair gets lighter, skin gets darker, water gets warmer, drinks get colder, music gets louder, nights get longer, and life gets better
The truth is, life is better in flip flops, with salt in the air, and sand in your hair
{Goodbye summer, until next year}
It feels like just yesterday was May when I was packing up my dorm room and leaving school for the summer. Each year I say summer went too fast, which is always correct, but I am glad to say it has been enjoyable and the best summer yet.
Thank you summer for all of the hot days, the late nights, the laughs and the cheers, the sleepy mornings at work, the moments spent with family and friends, and most important of all, the memories.
A few things I will miss about summer:
1. The tan lines from laying outside in the sun or on the beach. The funny tan lines from running throughout the neighborhood
2. Sandy toes on the beach, splashing into the warm water and jumping into the waves, the hot surface, and taking in the Vitamin C
3. Swimming in the pool on a hot, sunny, day or relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of work
4. Endless amount of photos on my phone from each adventure experienced
5. Indulging ice cream in the heat and snacking on a bag of chips with friends
6. Driving around the neighborhood blasting my favorite song with the windows open and cool breeze blowing through my hair
7. Listening to the crackling of the fire while roasting marshmallows until crispy and then making S'mores
8. Concerts with friends, enjoying the music, and having a great time
9. Working out with your own mindset and going on long runs; all to maintain the summer body
10. Hiking out to new places each weekend and discovering new activities
11. Cooking at home and enjoying fresh food with the family
12. Not worrying about any school work, dead lines, or exams. The eligibility of reading a book of choice for leisure
13. Taking the dogs for a walk, bathing them on a hot day, and watching movies and cuddling until bedtime
14. Being able to wake up at any time of hour. Whether you want to be up early and enjoy the day or sleep in until your body feels rested, with no worry in the world

I hope you fulfilled and completed your summer bucket list because I sure did and enjoyed every second of it
