I do not think there is anyone who does not find "The Little Rascals" a hilarious movie. Well...there probably are a couple, but I am not friends with said people. So if you have not seen it, absolutely watch it.
It's not long and you will be quoting it for the rest of your natural born life. It's full of hilarious one-liners, such as "Quick! What's the number for 911?" and even features a cameo from our current President. For those thinking it is a little kid movie, I can assure you that my Pappaw, who was in his eighties at the time, laughed every time I wanted to watch it and he was babysitting.
Didn't we all want to have a cool clubhouse and a sleepover with the Olsen twins? While the movie is a scream, it did have strong emotional undertones, the most prominent being the difference between boys and girls and falling in love.
Here are the many aspects of falling in love as told by 'The Little Rascals":
1. When you see him walk by...
2. When he knows just what to say...
3. When he sends you an adorable message, so you look just like this...
4. But then he doesn't respond the way you wanted him to or doesn't respond in a timely fashion...
5. When he tries to convince you that not all guys are the same...
6. When you Facebook stalk and find old girlfriends...
7. When you can't act like you're in love yet, but you already came up with your wedding hashtag and acted crazy about him to your friends...
8. When you still have not defined if you're exclusive and it is really starting to wear you down...
9. When he finally asks the ultimate question: Do you want to be Facebook official? But you still play hard to get...
10. When you think you know everything about him and then you find out a horrifying secret...
11. When you're so in love that you want to make him dinner...
12. When you just can not hide it on your face anymore...
This movie taught us all about love. I think once the boys realized the famous race car driver was indeed a woman, they were forced to question everything they knew about the opposite sex. They all realized that they all could get along in peace and harmony. Now, if only adults could grasp this life lesson.
P.S. If you took one thing away from this movie it was to never date a Trump.
Just kidding...
