Pumpkin spice lattes, campfires, and beanies! When fall hits, these are a few of our favorite things.
I must admit with only slight embarrassment, that I, in addition to thousands of other women across America, suffer from what I like to call Fall Fever. Why am I pulling over on the side of the road and buying pumpkins in September in Arkansas? Why am I reviewing my scarf collection when it's 85 degrees outside? Seriously, it isn't just me right?
Obviously, fall is nothing new. It comes and goes as a season should. However, over the last few years, I've noticed an abnormal amount of enthusiasm surrounding this season.
For me, it's squealing in the middle of Kroger when I walk down the Halloween candy aisle and justifying 40 dollars on pumpkin placemats. I know what it means for all of my friends who share the same illness, but what does it mean for everyone else? Are all women this crazy about fall or just southern women?
Nevertheless, I've gathered a few basics that I believe can bring anybody down with Fall Fever.
Freeform's, previously known as ABC Family, 13 Nights of Halloween will be kicking off on Monday, October 19 and will run all the way through Halloween. With all of our favorites like Hocus Pocus and The Nightmare Before Christmas, this television event is sure to get you in the fall spirit.
Now, I know I poke fun at myself but seriously, candy and coffee are an essential part of fall. Go to Kroger, buy a cheap Halloween bowl and watch how easily and quickly having a bowl full of candy on your counter can put you in a better mood.
We all love Starbucks and their famous Pumpkin Spice Latte, however, pumpkin, as well as salted caramel mocha, flavors can put you in the mood this season. Even if you're deprived of a Starbucks, local coffee shops have hidden, treasured recipes galore so be sure to visit a local cafe for a nice fall beverage.
All in all, fall is a marvelous season. Even if it's not your favorite, get out and try a few things you normally wouldn't this season. The results might shock you and the fall fever may hit!
