Peace is the moment your eyes see what the ear’s could not hear.

Peace is an epiphany when lies are revealed.

Peace is an emotion of nonsurrender to pain.

Peace is a calmness that returns and is retained.

Peace remembers the Lord thy God is always in front of you.

Peace is knowing the value of you.

Peace is faith that pulls you though.

Peace is understanding you have already won, confident the world can never overcome.

Peace is surrendering all to God. It is understanding that he will deliver you.

Peace is acknowledging and accepting the gift to be free. Trusting our savior who sits on the right hand has already won the victory.

"No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." — Romans 8:37-39

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots.
