Dear Mom & Dad,
Words cannot describe how thankful and blessed I am to have you two as my parents. So, I figured after receiving multiple letters from you it was time I write one back.
Not every girl can say that her parents were so involved in everything she did. You both went above and beyond for my happiness.
Mom, you are my best friend and I literally tell you everything. From gossiping to crying, you always knew what to say in every situation I was in through grade school, high school, and now in college. Through the years, there wasn't an event where I didn't see your face in the crowd. You never missed anything and supported me through everything I did and still do. You taught me how to be a strong and confident woman. Someday when I have kids, I wish I have the same type of relationship with them as I do with you. You are the strongest woman I know and I couldn't be more blessed to have you as my mom.
Dad, you are so involved in my life. Not many girls can say they have the type of father-daughter relationship like we do. You never missed a father-daughter event and always wanted to attend them. You know how much I loved those events and now that I'm in college and there aren't any, it's ok because we still have the same exact bond. You always are involved with all the sports I do and always push me to become better. My future husband has some big shoes to fill because of you.
I want you to know how much I really appreciate everything you two do. I know how hard you work so that I can succeed and follow my dreams. Sometimes I know you think that I don't appreciate how hard you work, but I do. I'm so sorry for all the times I give you attitude and really push your buttons. I regret all the times I was angry at you and picked fights. Also, ever since I was little you two were so protective and as annoying as I thought it was, I appreciate it now because it has made me into who I am now.
I know things are different and harder now that I am away (30 min away) at college. But, nothing will change in our relationship, if anything it has gotten stronger. I am learning to be on my own and as scary as it is at times, I know that you are always going to be there for me.
You go above and beyond for us. We go on so many vacations when we really don't have to. We got to go new clothes shopping when you wore the same clothes. To put it simply, you really spoil us. All of the wonderful opportunities I will have in my future are because of you and because of you allowing me to have such a wonderful education. I am so blessed to have been raised by such strong, encouraging, smart, and loving parents. You always put us first and I wish to be just like you two when I am a parent someday.
No matter what life throws our way, I will always be there to hold your hand and I will always be your little girl. I'm so grateful to be your daughter, and I am following my dreams here at college because of you. I love you infinity.
Love,
Your Daughter
