Why I'm Beyond Excited For "Grey's Anatomy"

Why I'm Beyond Excited For "Grey's Anatomy"

After blowing through nine seasons of "Grey's Anatomy" in a month two years ago, it became my all time favorite show. And I mean like it's the best show ever and nothing will ever compare to the glorious show that Shonda Rhimes has created. This season is going to be one for the books for sure, and I cannot wait to see what Shonda has up her sleeve for Season 12. There are so many reasons to be excited for this Thursday, but here are just some of my favorites.

April and Jackson

This is something that has been building for a long time. April and Jackson are my favorite couple on "Grey's," but they went through a lot last season with the loss of their child. After, April went to work as a doctor in the army, it created a rift between them. At the end of Season 11, April was faced with an ultimatum. She wanted to return to the army, but Jackson said he wouldn't be waiting around for her when she returned. Does this mean they broke up? I sure hope not, but they went through a major change and maybe this will help them create an even stronger relationship.

Meredith's Recovery

As many "Grey's" fans know, we lost McDreamy to a car accident last season. Now I think this is going to be a great thing for Meredith. Sure, it was sad, but like it's been said before, Meredith is the sun and now is her time to shine. I'm excited to see what her life will be like without Derek and how she is going to be an even stronger character, mom, and sister. I hope that it really connects her back with her work and everyone else back at the hospital. This is a huge step just to showcase the main character who has had all our hearts for years.

Alex and Jo

For sure my second favorite couple on the show. Jo and Alex are a perfect fit for each other. They both come from rough backgrounds, but they are both sensitive when they need to be. I'm excited to see how their relationship progresses and I'm hoping Karev is going to put a ring on it sometime soon so we can see another big "Grey's" wedding.

There are so many things I can't wait to see this season, but these by far are my favorites. I can't wait to catch up with my favorite doctors from Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.
